This is an old farmhouse near Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. In the "start" shot, notice how streaky and stained looking the shingles are. The shingles are definitely worn out and broken down by many years of freezing and thawing, sun exposure, and algae accumulation. We came in and removed two old layers of shingles and a third layer of original cedar shakes. With the old roof materails removed, we added a new deck to the roof on to which we installed 30 year GAF shingles in a Barkwood color.
