Even sturdy old brick homes wear out, and that's just what happened
to this nearly 100-year old brick house on Madison's north side. Like the rest of the house the
roof was old. Very old and simply worn out. We removed the multiple layers of old shingles (and shakes) and
the old and mostly rotted underlying deck. We then started fresh with a new deck, seen in the
first picture. On top of the new roof deck went new Shinglemate 15lb. felt paper and then on top of that we installed
30 year GAF shingles in a charcoal color.
